Like I said earlier this story was so good my complaint was that it was too short. I thought it was so beautiful how they both were able to build on the foundation they already had established since they essentially grew up together. I loved how possessive Isaac was with Rafi. I loved how Rafi was able to remember the moments that weren’t so awful between him and Isaac. Even a short story like this one was so beautifully told. Having never forgotten Rafi, Isaac tracks him down. He’s a successful professional basketball player and is now ready to work on his personal life. Years have passed and Isaac is more comfortable than ever with who he is. He’s confused and angry so he lashes out at the one person who holds all his interest, Rafi. Throughout high school, Isaac Jones struggled with his sexuality. So, needless to say he is Godsmaked when he runs into his high school bully and tormentor, Isaac Jones. He rarely thinks about his childhood or high school days.

He’s living and loving life as a single, professional adult. I really enjoyed Isaac and Rafi together. The way Isaac sees it, he and Rafi are perfect for each other, if only he could sink the most important shot of his life: his one shot at forgiveness.ĭamn, I didn’t want this one to end!!! I wanted to read more and more. When Isaac appears at Rafi’s favorite restaurant acting like a long-lost friend, Rafi bluntly dismisses him.īut Isaac is tenacious and he has his heart set on the grown-up version of the boy he always wanted and never forgot. Sometimes to find love, you must first learn forgiveness.Ī dozen years, two thousand miles, and a law degree after high school, Rafi Steiner continues to harbor resentment toward Isaac Jones, his childhood bully turned NBA star.
